With 18 years in education, Nikki has a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering students in their academic journeys. Originally from Pennsylvania, Nikki specializes in preparing students for a range of exams, from the SAT and ACT to the GRE, AP U.S. History, ESL, and ELA. With a degree in English from Westminster College, her background includes a classroom teacher, learning center manager, tutor, and school partnership manager. For Nikki, tutoring is about more than just academics. She loves seeing her students build confidence and take pride in their progress. She uses thoughtful strategies to maintain growth, like asking students to teach concepts back to her and helping them see how far they’ve come over time. Her goal is to equip them with lifelong learning skills that extend beyond test prep. Working with JBE Tutoring has been a unique experience for Nikki. She admires JBE’s personalized approach and its focus on creating supportive connections with students. Nikki crafts her sessions to meet each student's unique needs, and she works on close communication with families to keep everyone aligned on progress and goals. Outside of tutoring, Nikki enjoys Jeep adventures with her dogs, especially to the Rocky Mountains and the Gulf of Mexico. Her favorite quote, “You are always one decision away from a totally different life,” perfectly reflects her approach to education—each lesson and skill mastered is a new door opened for her students.

Donna, a dedicated tutor with over 30 years in education, specializes in teaching reading, math skills, and logic puzzles to young learners. Originally from Dumont, NJ, she loves working one-on-one to see children grow excited about learning. Donna’s teaching approach is as thoughtful as it is effective. She takes the time to understand each student, creating personalized activities, charts, and even keeping detailed notes to ensure every child feels seen, understood, and confident in their learning. She joined JBE during COVID after finding the opportunity via a job search platform and quickly connected with the organization’s warm, individualized approach. Donna believes JBE’s personal touch makes all the difference, putting students and families at ease from the very start. Outside of teaching, Donna loves spending time with her family, scrapbooking, and catching beach sunrises whenever she can. If she could travel anywhere, she’d happily take the time to explore the vastness of the U.S., and dreams of visiting Italy and Paris as well. Her favorite quote, “You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day!” by Dr. Seuss, perfectly captures her spirit of curiosity and encouragement—traits she brings to each student she meets.
