Math Placement Test

Did You Know?

In most U.S. states, middle school starts in 6th grade, and in some areas, as early as 5th grade. A few days after registering for school, middle and high school students will be invited to take placement tests in English and math to determine the appropriate class levels. Despite the high level of foreign students in math, many are placed in lower groups due to challenges in understanding the questions and mathematical terms in English.

To help students prepare for the math placement test, I’ve included a Hebrew-English/Spanish-English and Korean-English math terminology glossary in the website, along with links to math practice exercises typically assigned by schools in various towns over the summer break.

If, after practicing, you feel your child still needs assistance bridging language gaps and learning the English terminology, feel free to contact me, and I’ll match you with a tutor.

On this note, I want to wish all the new students the best of luck with their placement tests.
